Matthew 6:25-34 | As you seek first the kingdom of God, God's promise is to take care of you. In this sermon Jesus builds a compelling case on why you do not need to be anxious about your life as you follow and live for Him.
Matthew 6:16-18 | Fasting is an act of worship that enjoys God's grace through abstaining from food. In moments of deep desperation and heavy concern, fasting says I need God more than food. Be careful to not fast for the glory of self, but simply as a sincere devotion to God.
Matthew 6:1-4 | The heart and motivation behind our actions as followers of Jesus Christ are a big deal. We obey not to be praised, but simply to praise Him. As we do, the God who lavishes us with salvation, lavishes us with even more.
Matthew 5:43-48 | Conventional wisdom says it's okay to hate people in certain circumstances. Christ calls us to transcend the world's love and love even our enemies.
Matthew 5:38-42 | Personal vengeance does not advance the gospel. Not to negate justice, as followers of Christ we are to extend God's grace even when wronged.
Matthew 5:33-37 | Honesty for the sake of honesty is not why oaths are to be taken seriously. We want to be honest followers of Christ so that people can take the gospel seriously as we honor God with our mouths.
